Partners and Affiliates

Meralco recognizes the significance of forging partnerships with other organizations to fulfill its goals, especially with a global concern such as eco-protection. Some of the companys most notable partners include the following:

  1. Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG)

Maralco has entered into a partnership with the DILG in support of our campaigns against electricity pilferage and public safety awareness. Thanks to this partnership, various programs and other information campaigns on public safety have been successfully implemented.

  2. Gawad Kalinga (GK)

We have forged a partnership with Gawad Kalinga through the Meralco Sibol School Program which was launched as a response to the need of bringing community-based pre-school education at the heart of adopted GK communities. These Sibol kids not only gain knowledge and skills but also obtain values to ensure a holistic development.

  3. Haribon Foundation

As a company, Meralco is far from being just about business and numbers. The very same dedication that goes into serving our clients likewise goes into its efforts to protect the environment. It is this dedication that led to Meralco’s partnership with the Haribon Foundation in the implementation of various educational programs to promote environmental advocacies.

Haribon Foundation is a membership organization committed to nature conservation through community empowerment and scientific excellence. It is guided by its vision to take the lead in caring for nature with the people–for the people. Its slogan, “Protecting nature. Preserving life.” captures the character of the organization.

  4. League of Corporate Foundations

Meralco thru the Meralco Millennium Foundation Inc. (MMFI) is one of the 75 operating and grant-making corporate foundations and corporations under the League of Corporate Foundations (LCF).

LCF is a membership association providing avenues for corporate foundations and corporations seeking to effectively enhance their Corporate Social Responsibility initiatives.

  5. Philippine Disaster Relief Foundation (PDRF)

Sharing the value of malasakit (compassion) and environment conversation, Meralco and PDRF joined forces to implement various projects geared towards disaster relief and environment protection.

PDRF, after the devastation brought by typhoons Ondoy, Pepeng and Frank, was created to lead and execute urgent and effective measures to address the needs of calamity-stricken communities and to reconstruct these areas in the Philippines.

  6. Department of Education (DepEd)

Because Meralco firmly believes in the value of education, the Company partnered with the Department of Education in spearheading and implementing different programs focused on improving the lives of Filipino children through education.
